Favorite dish: Not one, many. I’m a complete foodie.
Give us a brief introduction about yourself?A freelance photographer inspired by creative/vintage photography based in the capital.
Study background? Currently enrolled in a BSMS degree in SZABIST.
Photography as a passion or just a hobby? Beyond that, Hobby, Passion, profession all in one.
How did you get into photography stuff?Started off with self portraits, eventually my friends started pushing me to take it more seriously and here I am now.
Who are your inspirations?On a local level, Guddu Shani, Amean J. Internationally: Nikos vasilakis, Joanna Kustra, Daniel Tam, Rema darwish.
What else are your hobbies except photography?Reading & eating.. the simple life.
Would you like to have interns with you?I only work with people I get along with, So I don’t mind interns as long as we have an understanding.
Who is the one person you would like to do or dying to do photo-shoot of?Iman Ali and Jensen Ackles, I’d love to do them.. I mean do a photoshoot.
Was photography your passion?Yes, still is.
In which kind of Photography section do you focus/ have more fun like fashion photo-shoots, outdoor shoots or wedding photo-shoots etc.?I have always been interested in fashion & food photography. But I mostly do weddings.
You got an opportunity to do photo shoot for many magazines and known people in this glamorous industry how was your experience working with them?It has been a great experience. Some of the people are as nice in person as they appear to be in pictures or on TV.
What is important? 1. Good camera 2. Editing skills 3. Good face
A combination of all. Although the camera doesn’t matter much, editing is an art and a much needed skill in photography.
Let’s get a bit technical which cameras do you use? And it would be really great if you give a short review about it too?I use a D5000 primarily. It has been with me since the start and it’s an amazing camera.
Who has been most supportive while you were becoming a Photographer mum or dad?Alhamdulilah both my parents have given me as much support as needed. Couldn’t have asked for more.
Which,when,where were the best/interesting events you have covered till now? From Pakhtoon weddings to mehndi dances and emotional rukhsatis, every event is a unique experience.
One embarrassing and funny moment while you were on your work? There’s one thing that I find funny and happens almost on all events, when the aunties mistake me as a member of the family and end up showering me with kisses.
What are the other goals you have? Apart from photography, I am interested in PR and management, might pursue it as a career in the future.
Where do you see yourself in next few years? Multi-tasking photography and a full time career Insh Allah.
Any message for your fans? When there’s a will, there’s a way. This is true for anything you aim for in life. No matter how difficult it seems, if you truly want it, you will achieve it.
