Cassandra (Story time)

People didn’t know much about Cassandra. Sure she was the smartest girl in class, the prettiest in college but still, there was more to her than just her features and grades. She was truly a hard working student, one of the finest the faculty had seen in years, with impeccable speaking and writing skills. With fine brown hair, that weaved down her back, gorgeous hazel colored eyes shadowed by thick eye lashes, a soft structured mouth and a pointy chin, she was a sight, breathtaking one.
But Cassandra had a secret. Something if exposed would probably ruin her reputation, and the image that had been constructed over time. We’ll come back to the secret after a while, for now let’s just see what happened at her birthday party.
Huddled between a crowd of 50 people, Cassandra cut her cake; music blaring in the back ground. Her friends gathered close, elbows touching and snatched pieces of cake from the table that was covered in gorgeous red velvet. Ecstatic, she slid away from the crowd and crashed on the carpet in her basement, high on the music and smiles and laughter. She was happy really but there was another reason to it. Her boyfriend had just sent her a text saying he would meet her later that night and give her a real birthday present. So that might have been the real reason for the smiles that Cassandra passed onto everyone. It was around 11 when her boyfriend came to meet her. Let me mention here that he wasn’t part of the party; he met her outside, in her back yard where no one would see them.
Her boyfriend was actually her chemistry teacher, and they were mixing a lot more than just sodium nitrate (wink, wink).  This could have created a big issue not only for Cassandra but her teacher as well. So in her backyard, snuggling against him, Cassandra asked for her gift, grinning like a goof. Her teacher/boyfriend turned her around and pointed to a small package that was lying under her swing. Quickly walking up to the swing she snatched the package off the ground and opened it up. It was a small box containing a pendant. Feeling as if she would swoon, Cassandra jumped into his arms and covered his face with kisses, not even aware of the fact that her friend Rose was watching from the back door.
One thing led to another and Rose confronted Cassandra about her affair with the teacher. Cassandra was in total bliss; hence she did not pay any attention to Rose. It was when she noticed the whole school talking about her, did she finally realize that she had been proclaimed as an indecent felon along with her teacher. He got kicked out with a threat of a lawsuit. And Cassandra, well she didn’t have much to say after that. She was an excellent student whose integrity was maintained because she was proclaimed as a minor even though she was 18.
Things became quite interesting when the college appointed a new chemistry teacher. ‘This one was even more naรฏve than the last one,’ thought Cassandra as she passed a sweet smile to her new teacher.

SUICIDE IN ADOLESCENTS ( ARTICLE )

Suicide is the third most common cause of death among adolescents between 15-25 years of age and the sixth most common cause among 5-15 years old. The latest mean world wide annual rates of suicide per 100,000 are 0.5 for females and 0.9 for males. Among half of all teens suffering from depression will attempt suicide at least once and approximately 7% of them would succeed  on the first try.
Teenagers are indefensible to the threat of suicide due to increased stress from school and work. Teens are also dealing with hormonal fluctuations that can complicate even most normal situation. The suicide rate among young teens and young adults has increased by more than 300% in the last three decades, increased incidence of childhood depression and decreased family stability are some social and personal changes which can increase the desire to commit suicide.
In fact according to the study by ''National Institute Of Mental Health'' the people who commit suicide suffer from a diagnostic mental disorder. Unfortunately because of the often volatile relationship between teens and their parents make the teens comprehend as though they have no other solution of their problems and may not realise that suicidal thoughts and feelings can be treated.

In the recent survey of world bank has revealed the suicide rate is touching skies in Pakistan. The factors adding to it are somehow addiction to smoking, usage of drugs & hypertension among youngsters. This is alarming especially for the democratic government of Pakistan.Suicide has become a major public health problem in Pakistan. Rates for teen girls are statistically twice as likely as their male counterparts to attempt suicide. They tend to turn to drugs (overdosing) or to cut themselves, While boys are traditionally more successful in their suicide attempts because they utilise more severe methods such as guns and hanging, this method  comparatively makes boys almost four times more prosperous in committing suicide.
The highest rates for men between ages of 20-35 years is in Larkana. There are no official data on suicide from Pakistan. Despite this there is compelling evidence that suicide have increased in Pakistan in recent years. The lay press in Pakistan regularly report on suicide incidences in Pakistan. A study highlights the increased rate is due to socioeconomic and contextual  factors.
Difficulties in school, neither working nor being in school, dropping out of high school and not attending college pose significant risk for completed suicide.Teens are more likely to kill themselves  if they read, seen or heard about other suicide attempts. Moreover the unacceptable behaviour of teachers or high expectations of good grades from parents are likely to be one of the major reason of committing suicide among adolescents.

A recent case was reported in Abbotabad and Karachi on 29th May 2012. Two students committed suicide, with one blaming the intolerable behaviour of his teacher and the reason for ending his own life. Mobin, 13 year old student of one of the private boarding school of Abbotabad wrote in his diary that the insufferable attitude of his teacher forced him to come back home and hang himself. Mobin's former teacher Sohrab Jadoon told police that young boy was unhappy with his hostel life. Meanwhile a student depressed with bad grades ended his life in Karachi's Paposh Nagar Area.

The great loss of our young generation should be saved. Youth suicide prevention strategies should be implemented within three dominions - School community and health are systems. School based suicide prevention programs should increase awareness and promote identification of students at higher risk of suicide and they should provide knowledge about behavioural characteristics of teens at risk of suicide and enhance the coping ability of teens.
More over, Parents need to be as open and as attentive as possible to their adolescent children's difficulties. The most effective suicide prevention technique parents acan exercise is to maintain open lines of communication with their children. Sometimes teens hide their problems, not wanting to burden the people they love.
It is extremely important to assure teens that they can share their troubles, and gain support in the process. Parents are encouraged to talk about suicide with their children, and to educate themselves by attending parent-teacher meetings. Once trained, parents can help to staff a crisis Hartline in their community. Parents also need to be involved in the counselling process if a teen has suicidal tendencies. These activities may both alleviate parents' fears of the unknown and assure teenagers that their parents care.

My Mind Or Me?

So here I was thinking and for the first time in my life I was blank. I had nothing to say to the world. My mind was blank, as blank as the sheet of paper in front of me. I realized I had nothing positive to offer to the world tonight. I was devastated. I started jotting down everything which came into my mind, that in those unorganized jumble of rambling thoughts I might find something useful which I can share with the world. Of this chaotic world which I am a part is crumbling and all I think about is “what happens in the novel I was reading earlier”.
That is when I realized that I have been to cut off with the world. All I think about is stuff which is irrelevant. I have no time for people around me and for the things that really matter. All my life I have been like this, always thinking on something but not really thinking on the stuff which really matters. Not paying attention to the people who have been a part of my life and deserve my attention. I always hid behind my work so that I don’t have to talk to them, let them share their problem with me so that I might be able to help sort them out. I have isolated my life to a small circle of friends who don’t know me better then what they actually see. I have created countless walls around me hid myself behind those so I won’t have to face them, but I knew that some time I would actually have to face them and embrace the reality of life. My family and friends depend on me for my advice and support but alas! I have never been there to help them. I have always made excuses that I have so much work to do that I have shunned them from my life. We have become so far apart that now everyone is same to me “just another face in the crowd” which I will forget the moment I turned. I have absorbed myself so much in the world I have created that I have given no attention as to what is happening on the other side of those walls I have created.
I think it is now time to change for better. It’s time to start destroying those walls little by little, to let people in. I know it’s going to take time as ever revolution does but I will get there somehow. I have time or I hope I do, to change for better because if I don’t change myself it will be too late and I would become just another person who left without doing anything for the people he loved.

PROXIES, PTA & YOUTH (BITTER TRUTH)

I still remember, i was in 11th grade, i saw this article in a newspaper, that some student is trying to get his head behind PTA's authority members in order to ban all those sites which kill the frustration of youngsters now a days. Yes, smoking sheesha is included in it but thats another topic.
What the article meant was that that person was trying to get rid of all the sexual sites or in other words porn, which were open and were accessible by just a click. People of Pakistan just loved watching Saasha Grey and other leading personalities at such websites. HEY? Don't now think that we're kids. If you're reading this blog, you are no longer a kid, trust me. We all know what youngsters do now a days.

Well guess what? That boy succeeded. No porn sites in Pakistan? That was a good work from his side. Well guess what? If we now a days have proxies for YouTube, why cant we have it for some channels which are being more demanded than YouTube. People in Pakistan love taking everything go simple and easy and thus, they love CDs and Software more than proxies. They just love the happy go lucky streaming. The CDs are no doubt available all over Pakistan, especially Karachi ! They even sell it live in the streets, the CDs as per our media had shown the other day.

Regarding software, the peak software, which was about three-to-four months back at its peak ,was HOTSPOT SHIELD. This software is known to everyone. Mostly to people who love streamful works. Its not hotspot shields' fault that people take it to such sites. It was designed to open sites which were banned in countries for basically JUST opening it? They didn't had the purpose of just PORN. Even in universities, people use hotspot shield to get Facebook opened. So, not their fault.

What we all are failing to see is that if we as a nation will continue to watch such stuff on personal basis, for killing out the damn frustration and the tensed atmosphere, or maybe just for enjoyment, we people would actually kill ourselves as a nation. We need to actually stop it. We know we have destroyed ourselves. Just let not the youngsters get themselves destroyed too. Its bad. AND WE ALL KNOW IT.

No, bcoz Photography is just my hobby and I'm not doing it Professionally.
Who is the one person you would like to do or dying to do photo-shoot of?I think there isn't anyone.

Was photography your passion? No, It's just a Hobby and I think it will remain a Hobby.
In which kind of Photography section do you focus/ have more fun like fashion photo-shoots, outdoor shoots or wedding photo-shoots etc.?I mostly enjoy Outdoor photo-shoots e.g. Sun Sets and animals.
You got an opportunity to do photo shoot for many magazines and known
people in this glamorous industry how was your experience working with them?

Whatever I get I just enjoy it and get alot of Experience.
What is important?
1. Good camera
2. Editing skills
3. Good face

I think a GOOD Camera is the most important thing. Mostly people believe in good editing skills but I think Editing is not a part of Photography.
Let’s get a bit technical which cameras do you use? And it would be really great if you give a short review about it too?
I'm using NIKON D-7000. It is simply a Great Camera. It's Focus points and it's battery are just amazing.

Who has been most supportive while you were becoming a Photographer mum or dad?
Actually I don't want to become a Photographer By Passion so whatever I do in the Field of Photography everyone appreciate me much. My ideas are just amazing according to Mostly people.

One embarrassing and funny moment while you were on your work?
When you are doing random Photography and people say "Yar humaray liye 1 achi se DP tu kehanch ke de DSLRi affect ke sath :P)
What are the other goals you have?
My Goal is to become a Great Army Officer That is the best way I can serve my mohterland I think.
